Metabolic Balancing And Weight Management

Involves testing the 5 different metabolic systems:

  • Oxidative
  • Cell-Permeability
  • Electrolyte
  • Autonomic
  • pH

These metabolic systems are the engines that run the body. When these systems are in balance and working effectively, the body is able to supply the proper nutrition to the cells so they can produce energy efficiently.

The tests include the pre and post glucose challenge drink:

  • Blood glucose levels
  • Blood pressures
  • Respiration rate
  • Saliva and urine ph
  • Urine chemistry
  • Urine specific gravity
  • Urine vit. C levels
  • Breath holding capacity

Questionnaire further helps to determine metabolic imbalances.

These tests are analyzed and an evaluation is made for diet and supplementation recommendations.

With an understanding of the different metabolic types it is obvious why it's inappropriate to recommend one diet with the expectation that it will be effective for everyone, with no accounting for their biochemical individuality.

An effective weight management program requires a three-pronged approach based on the individual Metabolic Type:

  • Metabolic Type Diet
  • Exercise program designed for the patient's metabolic type
  • Emotion-based cravings support
